Frequently Asked Questions

What is Vapor Blasting?

Vapor blasting (also known as wet blasting) is a way to clean and resurface parts and objects. It utilizes a "slurry" compound, which is a mixture of water and an abrasive material, in order to gently clean and remove rust and other unwanted components from the surface of the item.

What are the advantages of vapor blasting?

Vapor blasting, as opposed to sand blasting, is significantly gentler on the part because the water involved in the slurry compound acts as a cushion. Similarly, the water used in vapor blasting eliminates dust in the resurfacing process. This means that the final result is a smoother, shinier finish.
